A TRIO Program Fully Funded by the U.S. Department of Education ($240,043)

McNair Welcomes New Director

Ý

Rodney Klein joins the Concord TRIO family as Director of the McNair Scholars Program effective February 2005. Dr. Klein will serve as a part-time Director for the McNair Program and continue as an Associate Professor for the Concord Psychology Department. He has been actively involved with the McNair Program for the last several years as a Mentor, an Instructor, and Advisory Committee member. Dr. Klein received his Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico in psychology. His research interests include learning, cognition, and behavioral neuroscience. If you have an opportunity, please take a few moments and welcome Dr. Klein to Concord TRIO.

The McNair Program extends a special thank you to Dr. Marjie Flanigan who has served as Interim McNair Director and Director of Student Support Services throughout the search for a permanent Director. We truly appreciate the support and hospitality she and the SSS folks have given us over the last few semesters.

ASK MCNAIR

Do you have a burning question about graduate school that no one seems to be able to answer?

Ask the McNair Office. Questions can be submitted anonymously (if you prefer), by mail (D-145), email (lkarnes@concord.edu), or voicemail (304)-384-5153 through February 28th. They can also be placed under the McNair Message Board in the Student Center. Questions and responses will be published in The Concordian in March 2005.
