Director: Dr. Rod Klein
The Director should be available to help McNair Scholars with their research projects, graduate school applications and academic advising. He/She should also be available to help students determine if the McNair Program suits their needs and if they are eligible.
Dr. Klein serves as a part-time Director for the McNair Program and continue as an Associate Professor for the Concord Psychology Department. He has been actively involved with the McNair Program for the last several years as a Mentor, an Instructor, and Advisory Committee member. Dr. Klein received his Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico in psychology. His research interests include learning, cognition, and behavioral neuroscience.

Coordinator: Lisa Karnes
Ms. Karnes has been with the Concord University McNair Program since July, 1997. She has a B.S. in Chemistry and a M.S. in Adult Education. Ms. Karnes is available to help with application, eligibility, and financial aid questions. Ms. Karnes distributes stipends and handles administrative aspects of the program.

Administrative Secretary: Vickie Hart
Ms. Hart has been with the Concord University McNair Program since January, 2002. Ms. Hart provides basic office support for the McNair Program including serving as the receptionist, providing secretarial support such as typing and filling, basic bookkeeping and other program specific requirements.

Research Assistant II: Douglas Snuffer
Mr. Snuffer, a member of the 2001 McNair cohort, has been working for the Concord University McNair Program since December, 2005. He received his B.A. in psychology from Concord College and his M.A. in experimental psychology from Marshall University. Mr. Snuffer is available for questions regarding the research process, graduate school applications, and academic/personal counseling.
