Scholarships, Prizes, & Awards

Scholarships
SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE to assist Concord University students are derived from endowments exceeding $16 million, within the Concord University Foundation, Inc. plus varied other sources of private, corporate, philanthropic, and governmental assistance. Contact the Admissions Office for complete information and application procedures for the numerous scholarships offered by Concord University.
References to schools, counties, and geographic areas in the following listings refer to West Virginia locations, unless indicated otherwise.
Institutional scholarships available through Concord Univesity are competitive. Applicants for scholarships must complete a separate scholarship application form which includes recommendations by appropriate University or secondary school officials. These forms are available from the Office of Admissions or the Financial Aid Office.

The Bonner Scholars Program
“Changing the World through Service,” Bonner Scholars receive up to $3,600 per year in return for a significant commitment to perform public or community service work while they are enrolled. This unique program was founded by the Corella and Bertram F. Bonner Foundation of Princeton, N.J. Entrepreneurial Studies Program
The Entrepreneurial Studies Program at Concord is a center for excellence that is the integration of three dynamic components:
• New company and product development for hands-on student learning
• A business Incubator for emerging companies founded by students
• A new leading-edge technology center that focuses on the use and application of state-of-the-art virtual reality technology and software development capabilities
“Learning-by-doing” is the focus of this exciting entreprenurial venture. The overriding objective is to prepare students to identify the enormous reservoir of entrepreneurial potential they have and to transform that potential into innovative companies, products, and services. Ten (10) entrepreneurial scholarships are awarded each year to the most promising applicants.
