APPEAL PROCEDURE FOR RESIDENCY CLASSIFICATION
SECTION 1. GENERAL
1.1. Scope: This policy establishes a process for students to appeal residency classification for tuition and fee purposes.

SECTION 2. PURPOSE
2.1. To establish a process for students to appeal residency classification for tuition and fee purposes
SECTION 3. APPEAL PROCEDURE
3.1. The decision of the designated institutional officer charged with the determination of residence classification may be appealed to the Residency Classification Appeals Committee.
3.1.1. Residency Classification Appeals Committee shall include an odd number of members (at least three) from the Concord Community. Student representative(s) shall be appointed by the SGA President faculty representative(s) selected by the Faculty Senate, staff representative(s) by the Classified Employees and Staff Council.
3.1.2. The student contesting the residency decision shall be given the opportunity to appear before the committee. If the appellant cannot appear when the committee convenes, the appellant has the option of allowing members to make a decision on the basis of the written materials pertaining to the issue or waiting until the next committee meeting.
3.2. The decision of the Residency Classification Appeals Committee
may be appealed in writing with supporting documentation to the President, Concord University.
3.3 Residency appeals end at the institutional level.
