PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTIVITY

 

 

SECTION         1.          GENERAL

1.1             Scope:  This policy specifies faculty and administrative productivity.

1.2             Authority:  West Virginia Code 18B-7-7

1.3             Effective Date:_____________________2005

 

SECTION         2.          PURPOSE

                          2.1        To establish expectations for faculty and administrators regarding                                         the needs for above average productivity to serve the citizens of                                            West Virginia with limited state allocations and modest student                                              costs.

 

SECTION         3.          PRODUCTIVITY:  FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATIVE

3.1.        The average number of student credit hours generated per FTE        faculty shall be at least ten percent greater than the average of        similar institutions in other states.

3.2          Administrators shall be at least ten percent more productive than        administrators at similar institutions in other states.

             3.2.1.    Administrators shall be defined as employees in senior-                                 level positions so reported according to the CUPA (College                           and University Personnel Association) administrator survey                           guidelines.
