Scholars of Distinction Scholarship Program 2007-2008


Students interested in the Scholarships of Distinction must have a minimum 3.75 cumulative GPA and 28 ACT or 1240 SAT* and / or demonstrate record on community service and strong leadership. Concord University awards up to ten Presidential Scholarships** (full tuition, mandatory fees and room and board and one semester of study abroad), ten Dean's Scholarships** (full tuition, mandatory fees and room and board), and ten Marsh Scholarships ($5,000 per year for in-state and $8,000 for out-of-state).

Application and interview required for Scholars of Distinction. Applications must be submitted by January 15, 2008. Scholars of Distinction recipients will be considered early admission applicants.

To qualify, for the Scholars of Distinction write about the following topic (no more than four typed, double spaced pages by January 15, 2008):

Criteria for Scholars of Distinction Scholarship Renewal

The Scholars of Distinction scholarships (Presidential, Dean's and Marsh) require a 3.2 Concord University GPA. Renewable scholarships can be used for eight consecutive semesters.

*Combined verbal and math score only

** West Virginia PROMISE Scholarship Recipients must apply the PROMISE Scholarship to tuition and fees.
