How To Apply for a Grant, Loan or Work Study

To apply for either grants, loans or work study you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.) To apply for West Virginia state based aid, both the Promise Scholarship and the West Virginia Higher Education Grant, you must complete both the FAFSA and the state based form from the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.  These forms can be picked up at your local high school, or Concord University will be happy to send you one. This form should be completed and submitted for processing as soon as possible after January 1 before the fall you plan to begin college.  You may also use the following links to complete these forms online:

You will need the most recent year's tax information to complete these forms. Many have pointed out that it is difficult to finish the FAFSA by the dates suggested above because taxes are not usually finished by that time. It is perfectly acceptable to estimate based upon last year’s taxes and any known changes for the current year.

Finally, to receive a Financial Aid award package from Concord University you MUST complete the admissions process.
