A four year public liberal arts University and part of the West Virginia Higher Education System, founded in 1872, soon after the Civil War.
Enrollment
3,000 students from 27 States and 22 nations;

Location
123-acre park-like campus located in Athens, West Virginia, and nestled on a ridge of scenic West Virginia mountains. The campus is easily accessible from Interstate 77 and U.S. Route 460.
Faculty
With about 100 full-time faculty, 85% hold the highest degree in their disciplines. All courses and laboratories are taught by faculty, not teaching assistants. Teaching and advising are the main goals of our faculty. The student-to-faculty ratio is 22:1.

Scholarships and Financial Aid
The University offers more than $21 million a year in scholarships, grants, and other forms of financial aid. More than 91 percent of our freshmen receive some level of support.
Clubs and Activities
More than 50 student organizations sponsoring hundreds of activities each semester. Our Student Government Association is one of the best funded such organizations in the entire mid-Atlantic region.
Study Abroad
Opportunities are available through a variety of scholarships, affiliated programs and individual faculty initiatives. Past excursions include Germany, England, Spain, Scotland, Turkey, France, Wales, Belize, and Costa Rica.
Athletics
We offer fifteen Men's and Women's NCAA Division II athletic programs. Concord is a member of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Housing
Five traditional single-gender residence halls featuring community living areas
and suites. All residential housing facilities are wired for cable television, telephone, and Internet.

Rankings Concord University was number 13 in a nationwide ranking by the Wall Street Journal (10-03-2003) of the best undergraduate public colleges and universities for admission of their alumni to the nation's most selective graduate schools.
Concord University ranked among the top schools in the 2008 edition of U.S.News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges" in the "baccalaureate colleges (south)" category.
Concord was listed in the top 10 of colleges that "flourish in a rural setting in the U.S. (Christian Science Monitor, November 13, 2007)
