The Concord University President's Home was built in 1932.  In the years after its completion, the President's Home hosted such overnight guests as Lowell Thomas, Amelia Earhart, Will Durant, Carl Sandburg and Metropolitan Opera stars Susanne Fisher and Muriel Dickson. Often, the President's residence is the scene for dinners, formal receptions or small parties for faculty and students, state officials, guest lecturers, artists and friends of the University.
