Athens, W.Va. – Fort Lee’s Army
Jazz Band is set to perform at Concord University on Sunday, February 25 at 6
p.m. in the Main Theater of the Alexander Fine Arts Center. The concert will include classical
pieces, jazz music, modern pop, country, and rock and roll.
The band, which comes from Fort
Lee, Va., has often been referred to as “the best kept secret in professional
music.” The group is made up of 40
members of the U.S. Army, all of which are trained musicians. They travel across the country
promoting Army and community relations by providing quality entertainment. The band is also known for its ability
to lift the spirits of U.S. troops.
They have traveled the world playing concerts for members of the U.S.
military to lift their morale.
This event is free to the
public.
