Athens, W.Va. – Registration
for classes for the fall semester at Concord University will be Friday, August
17 and classes will begin on Monday, August 20.
The University will conduct exams
Monday, December 10 through Thursday, December 13. Fall commencement will be
Saturday, December 15 at 11 a.m.
Labor Day will be observed on
Monday, September 3. Fall break will be Monday, October 15 and Tuesday, October
16. Thanksgiving recess will be Monday, November 19 through Friday, November 23.
According to Vice President and
Academic Dean, Dr. Dean W. Turner, more than 631 undergraduate and graduate
classes will be offered in Athens, Beckley and via distance delivery.
A list of courses is available on the University’s web site, www.concord.edu. Click on “Academics/Faculty” then “Schedules.”
Cost per undergraduate credit
hour is $184 for in-state students and $409 for out-of-state students, plus appropriate
lab and technology fees; books are extra. Payment is due before the first day
of class, and a late registration fee of $25 will be added beginning Tuesday,
August 21.
First-time enrollees should
contact the University prior to the registration deadline.
Current Concord students in the
Beckley area may register now at the Concord University Beckley Center, 307
Prince Street.
Beckley classes will be taught either afternoons or evenings at either the new Public Higher Education Center, 300 University Drive, Beaver, or the National Mine Health and Safety Academy, 1301 Airport Road, Beaver.
Concord University reserves the

CONCORD UNIVERSITY NOTES: The
