Athens, W.Va. – Organizers are planning a banquet to honor Concord University President, Dr. Jerry Beasley, and his wife, Ms. Jean Beasley, on Friday, May 16. A reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Center Lobby near the Ballroom. The banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Ballroom.
Cost for the banquet is $35, with proceeds, after expenses, going toward University Point, a project that Dr. Beasley has shepherded recently under his tenure, but was launched under the administration of Dr. Joseph Franklin Marsh Sr., who served from 1929 to 1949.
President Beasley will be retiring on June 30 after serving 23 years as president of

The banquet honoring Jerry and Jean Beasley is in lieu of the alumni banquet normally held the Friday before Commencement.
