Directions to the Beckley Center (388KB)
Concord University is located on a park-like 123-acre campus in Athens, West Virginia, nestled on a plateau of the Appalachian Mountains with panoramic views from its lofty elevation of 2600 feet.
To get here, take I-77 (the West Virginia Turnpike) to exit 14 (45 minutes north of Wytheville, VA or 25 minutes south of Beckley, WV) and drive 6 miles east into Athens. Green highway signs will direct you towards Concord University. At the first T-intersection with Route 20, turn left. Route 20 will become State Street. At the first stop light turn right on to Vermillion Street. Concord's campus will be about a quarter of a mile on your left.
Concord is located close to major four-line highways (Interstates 64 and 77 and U.S. 460), but is far away from the traffic, crime, and distractions of big city life. Southern West Virginia is a popular tourist and recreation area.
