Presidential Selection Process & Timeline

Concord University has officially begun its search for a President. Applications and nominations are now being accepted.

A Presidential Search Committee has been formed to accomplish this important task.

The Search Committee consists of the following:
  • Board Members
  • A Faculty Member
  • A Classified Staff Member
  • A Student
  • A Representative of the Concord University Alumni
  • A Representative of the Concord University Foundation
  • The Chancellor of the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission

Presidential Search Committee

All applications and inquiries will be treated with strict confidence.

The Search Committee is accepting applications through January 15, 2014. At that time, the Search Committee will begin reviewing applications. It is anticipated that candidates will be selected and initial interviews with the Search Committee will take place in February of 2014. Interviews and a public forum will be held with the finalists between mid-March and early April, 2014. At a subsequent meeting, the Concord University Board of Governors will select the new President and seek approval of that person with the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.
