ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

The Associate Director will provide support for all administrative and program functions of the West Virginia Center for Civic Life and help promote, and support the What's Next, WV? statewide community dialogue initiative.

RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Program Manager for What's Next WV? you will--

  • Collaborate with  state and local partners in sectors throughout the state
  • Coordinate and manage logistics for local, regional, and statewide trainings
  • Present at workshops and conferences
  • Create and implement outreach processes
  • Oversee technical assistance and community support
  • Oversee website maintenance and management
  • Oversee the development and dissemination of evaluation reports
  • Write and submit required grant reports and attend grant meetings

You will also support the Executive Director and Board of Directors in the ongoing operations of the Center.  Such support may include--

  • Basic financial administration in support of the organization's CPA to send and pay  invoices, create financial reports to the Board, account management by project, annual tax return 
  • Purchasing and maintaining inventory of materials, publications, and supplies
  • Supervision of interns, fellows, and/or AmeriCorps VISTA members in accordance with    organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations
  • Representing the Center at meetings, workshops, and conferences
  • Participating in fundraising and grant-writing

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in related field or similar experience
  • At least two years experience in project management
  • Ability to travel and occasionally work evenings and weekends

LOCATION: The Center does not have a permanent fixed location. The Executive Director is headquartered in Charleston, WV and others from various locations across the state. The successful candidate will need to meet and work with the Executive Director frequently.
