Do you want to bridge the gap between the public and professional world? Public relations is unique and distinguishable from marketing and advertising due to its emphasis on building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with an organization’s internal and external publics as well as specialization in media relations and journalistic writing. Concord University public relations students have opportunities to build a strong portfolio of work which gives them a substantial edge in increasingly competitive job markets upon graduation. Furthermore, participating in the public relations workshop gives students the chance to practice skills learned in the classroom by allowing them to work with clients within the university and community to promote events through writing press releases, creating posters, working events, and creating other promotional materials.

As one of the fastest growing areas in the field of Communication, public relations  offers a wide variety of careers to choose from and areas to work in including nonprofit work, humans relations, corporate communication, government agencies, and public relations firms.  Interested in joining?
