Graduated as valedictorian of Baileysville High School.Several college courses from Concord University.
I have been employed at Concord as an Editorial Assistant since October 1987. I have served on numerous committees over the years including strategic planning, accreditation, expense reduction and revenue enhancement, budget users committee, HR advisory committee, employment innovations, etc.I have chaired several search committees on campus. I have served in various classified employee leadership positions on campus including the institutional staff council, the Board of Governors, the statewide advisory council of classified employees, and served on three HEPC personnel study committee's. As a member of the advisory council of classified employees, I have served for twenty-one years, thirteen of which have been as chair, vice chair for five years and secretary for three years. I have served as an employee advocate in numerous grievances at several higher education institutions.I have served as co-advisor for Gamma Beta Phi since 1994 and have honorary membership in that group.
