Bio: 

Delilah O’Haynes, a coal-miner’s daughter, is from Southwest Virginia. Since 1979, Delilah has taught high school English, elementary resource, and college. She spent 25 years in the Methodist ministry and through 3 seminaries, she has lived all over the South. Delilah is a breast cancer survivor. She is a writer as well as teacher and has published or been involved with the publishing of 5 books, available in Concord's bookstore. As a member of several Appalachian writers groups and conferences, Delilah is an advocator for Appalachia and our environment. She is also the founder of Concord's sexual assault response team (SART), and has worked with many victims of assault, molestation, abuse, cancer, and the like. She is also a founding member of the Holston Conference Native American Ministry Team (see link for ranchovilasa). Delilah gives readings and speak to groups concerning writing, personal survival, and other related topics.
