I began my career as an engineer working on weapons and steel mill systems. I began teaching at Duquesne University while a graduate student, then moved to the University of Virginia in 1967 where I held a joint appointment in the School of Commerce and the Depaartment of City Planning in the School of Architecture. In 1976 I left academia for a management position with a non-profit membership organization, followed by five years at the School of Business at Old Dominion University and three more years in management training and consulting. In 2006 I retired from the University of Mary Washington where I taught in the Department of Business Administration for 20 years. I have been teaching at Concord since Janauary, 2007.
