Sunday, March 26, Trombone and Piano Join Forces in Beckley

Andy Necessary and Jane W. Smith will perform works by Serocki, Pergolesi, Brahms, Bernstein, Kreisler, Sulek, and more this Sunday, March 26, 3:00 p.m., at the Beckley Presbyterian Church, 203 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, W.Va. Mr. Necessary will perform on the trombone, and Ms. Smith will play the piano.

Wednesday, March 29, Dimeji Onafuwa Art Show Reception

Artist and painter, Dimeji (pronounced, da-MAY-jee) Onafuwa, from Yoruba, Nigeria, will have works of art on exhibition March 29-April 5, at the Arthur Butcher Gallery of the Alexander Fine Arts Center, Concord College, Athens, W.Va. A reception will be held Wednesday, March 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The public is invited.

Friday, April 7, Leslie Gilbert Art Show Reception

Leslie Gilbert will open her art show, Trees and Faces, on Friday, April 7. Her works, featuring graphite and colored pencil drawings, oils, watercolors, pastels, and advertising graphics will be on display in the Arthur Butcher Gallery of the Alexander Fine Arts Center, Concord College, Athens, W.Va., from April 7-14, 2000. A reception will be held Friday, April 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The public is invited.
