Carolyn Cox Appointed Concord College Registrar
Athens, W.Va. - Concord College has announced the appointment of Carolyn Cox to the position of registrar. Mrs. Cox has been employed at Concord College since 1989, serving as assistant registrar and most recently has been coordinating office operations and services as interim registrar for the past two years.
Originally from Harrison County, West Virginia, Carolyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fluharty of Bristol, West Virginia. She and her husband, Steve, now reside in Princeton, with their daughters, Laura, Jill, and Stacy.
Carolyn received a BA in social studies and oral communication from Salem College and her MA from West Virginia Graduate College. She taught social studies at South Harrison High School from 1974-76, and was a substitute teacher in Wood County for two years.
Dr. Dean Turner, vice president and academic dean stated, "Both personally and on behalf of the college, I would like to thank Mrs. Cox for her caring and dedicated service to Concord students, faculty, and administrative offices over the past thirteen years. Her open and friendly approach to routine matters and special situations has been recognized and appreciated by many."
