Some Classes Cancelled at Concord College

Athens, W.Va. - The Vice President for Business and Finance has closed classrooms and offices in the Science Building, as well as classrooms 110 and 208 in Marsh Hall, August 21, 22, and 23.

The building and rooms have been closed for mold testing. Officials speculate that the summer’s high humidity and elevated outdoor mold counts may have contributed to this situation.

Arrangements for the resumption of classes are currently being made and an announcement will be made by the College’s Vice President and Academic Dean.

The college has contacted professional testing and remediation companies to assess the situation and recommend a course of action.

The College regrets the disruption of classes for students and is making every effort to return the Science Building, and rooms 110 and 208 in Marsh Hall, to their original condition.
