Attention Future College Students: Concord Hosts Open House
Athens, W.Va. - Concord College will host its annual Spring Open House—The Mountain Lion Festival—on Saturday, March 29, 2003. Registration for the event starts at 12:30 p.m. in the Alexander Fine Arts Center lobby.
The Mountain Lion Festival is a “golden opportunity” for college-bound students to learn about financial aid, academic programs, student organizations and meet some of the award-winning faculty who teach at the College.
Free to college-bound students and their parents is a special light lunch. Ambassadors—Concord College students who volunteer their time—provide tours of the Athens campus, and share insights about life at Concord.
Michael Curry, Vice President for Admissions and Financial Aid: “The Mountain Lion Festival will give any interested student a sound overview of all aspects of college life - the general level of academic rigor, student life and organizations, a tour of the Campus Beautiful, face-to-face interaction with professors in their majors, direct financial aid counseling, and a last chance opportunity to get free SAT prep to win better scholarships. The food isn't bad either!”
