Business Speakers to Share Their Successes at Concord in October
Athens, W.Va. – The division of business at Concord University brings lessons and successes from the world of business to students and the public with local and regional entrepreneurs as featured speakers in October as part of their fall symposia.
Keith Ellwanger, president and owner of Executive Marketing Consultants with locations in N.C., and S.C., will discuss the value of networking on October 13 at 11 a.m., in room 320, Marsh Hall. He is a Concord University alumnus, having majored in business administration. He is an entrepreneur specializing in marketing. Ellwanger has spoken at Concord for the last three years about his enthusiasm for the value of networking and how it contributes to his success.
Connie M. Saunders will be speaking on October 26 at 1 p.m. in room 237, Marsh Hall. She is the president and chief executive officer of five companies: Saunders Staffing, Inc.; Personnel Pool of Va., Inc.; Beauty Escape, Inc.; C.S. Services, and W.Va. Community Services for Women, Inc. The businesses are located in Bluefield, W.Va., and Bluefield, Va. Saunders began her career in 1986 with the launch of Beauty Escape. Her duties now include management, budgeting, financing and marketing. Before becoming a successful businessperson, she worked at Bluefield Supply Company, Tazewell Industries, and the West Virginia Division of Mines. Saunders is a graduate of Bluefield College. She also attended Concord University, West Virginia University, and Bluefield State College.
