Comedian and Mentalist to Perform at CU this Month
Athens, W.Va. - Concord University will be hosting two exciting and entertaining performances this month. Comedian Vic Henly will be performing on Wednesday, October 12 at 9 p.m., and mentalist Christopher Carter will be performing on Wednesday, October 19 at 9 p.m. Both events will take place on the ground floor of the Student Center, on the “Subway” stage. The events are free to the public, and they are sponsored by the Student Activities Committee.
Henly has appeared at over 500 colleges across the nation. He co-authored a book with Jeff Foxworthy, “Games Rednecks Play” and is the author of “Things You'd Never Expect a Redneck to Say.” College students nominated Vic Henley five times in a row as College Comedian of the Year, and his show has been called a mixture of Opie Taylor and Don Rickles.
Carter was voted the 2005 Entertainer of the Year, the 2005 Best Novelty Live Performance and the 2005 Male Performer of the Year by college students in “Campus Activities Magazine.” His show will leave you asking, "How did he do that?" His amazing show has to be seen to be believed.
