CU Grad to be Featured on “Accounting Day at Concord” Tuesday, November 4
Athens, W.Va. – Mr. Cole Malcolm of Ernst & Young, Charleston, in concert with the West Virginia Society of CPAs, will be featured as a speaker at Concord University on “Accounting Day at Concord,” Tuesday, November 4 at 11 a.m. The presentation will take place in the Rahall Technology Center, room 304.
Malcolm is a new member of Concord’s Business Advisory Council. The Council is comprised of professionals from the business community who serve as advisors to the Division of Business.
As a magna cum laude graduate from Concord in 2003 with a B.S. in business administration and emphases in accounting and finance, Mr. Malcolm began his professional career in Lexington, Ky., as a financial services professional with MassMutual Financial Group. After spending time with Tempur-Pedic International in the Global Financial Reporting department, he and his wife, Mary Elizabeth, decided to move home to West Virginia. The couple now lives in South Charleston, West Virginia, and actively participates in local community organizations. They are also involved in youth and music ministries within their local church.
Malcolm obtained his M.B.A. from Morehead State University, and his client focus at Ernst & Young is within the energy sector.
In addition to serving on the Business Advisory Council, Malcolm is also an active member of the AICPA, West Virginia Society of CPAs, and the local Charleston Chapter of CPAs.
