Athens-Concord Town Social Celebrating 25th Year

ATHENS – The Athens-Concord Town Social will mark its 25th year with “Quarter Century Celebration” as the theme. The popular event is set for Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the front lawn of Concord University.

The yearly gathering features craft vendors and informational displays, live musical entertainment, children’s games, a complimentary picnic lunch, free admission and lots more family fun. Individuals, along with a local business, who have enhanced community and campus life, will be honored during the festivities.

Vendors are invited to set up a booth, free-of charge, to display and sell their handicrafts during the social. To reserve a vendor space contact Sharon Griffee at 304-384-3243 or Jean Beasley at 304-301-4037.
