CONCORD UNIVERSITY HOSTING HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE DEC. 6
ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University is celebrating the season with a Holiday Open House Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Setting for the occasion is University Point, the newest landmark on “The Campus Beautiful.”
Guests will be treated to an evening of holiday music, refreshments and festive fun. Wassail, hot chocolate and other seasonal goodies will be served in the Alumni Lounge where Santa Claus, ready to hear wish lists from children, will be settled in for the evening. Children’s games will also be underway there.
Concord University student vocalists and musicians will perform throughout the gathering. The ConChords will carol outside University Point from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The choral group then moves inside for a 6 p.m. performance in the John and Lucia Pais Family Fellowship Hall. From there, they progress to the Alumni Lounge for a 7 p.m. show.
Celtic selections will be featured at 5 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge. The jazz band takes the stage at 5:30 p.m. in the Wilkes Family Chapel followed by singing at 6:30 p.m. The Concordians perform at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Adding to the charm of the evening is the Holiday Hall of Trees, located in the Fellowship Hall. Each of these unique trees features the decorating talents of Concord University students, staff and faculty representing various departments and organizations on campus. During the open house, finger foods will be served in the Fellowship Hall.
