THE DEBUSSY TRIO PERFORMING AT CONCORD UNIVERSITY
ATHENS, W.Va. – As part of the Performing Artist Series, the Fine Arts Division at Concord University will be hosting a performance by The Debussy Trio on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 7 p.m. The event will take place in the Wilkes Family Chapel at University Point located on campus.
The Debussy Trio has a reputation for entertaining audiences of all ages with their unique performances of varied musical styles. The musicians take French impressions, American jazz fusion, famous film compositions, and expansive ethnic inspirations to create a sound that is sure to astound all listeners.
Marcia Dickstein, harp, Angela Weigand, flute, and David Walther, viola, have been recognized as talented musicians all over the world. Harp Column writes, “The Debussy Trio has earned its reputation as a top-chamber group, not only through the strengths of its players, but through its polished yet daring programming.”
The Debussy Trio’s performance at Concord University on April 16 is open to the public. There is no admission charge.
