‘NUMINOUS’ FEATURES WORK OF CONCORD UNIVERSITY
ART MAJOR BRANDON DANIELS
ATHENS, W.Va. - Concord University graphic design/studio art major Brandon Daniels is exhibiting his work in a senior show June 16 through July 8 in the University’s Arthur Butcher Gallery. A reception will be held on Thursday, June 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The show, entitled “Numinous,” features Daniels’ abstract paintings.
“The work in my show is made up predominately of abstract paintings of a variety of sizes,” the Montcalm, W.Va. resident said. “They are all representative of generally scientific subject matter; either microscopic or macro cosmic imagery. The pieces are supposed to challenge the viewers’ sense of scale, and make them contemplate their place and purpose in the universe.”
The Arthur Butcher Gallery is located in Concord University’s Alexander Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Persons with disabilities should contact Nancy Ellison, 1-304-384-6086 or 1-800-344-6679 extension 6086 if special assistance is required for access to an event scheduled by the University on campus.
