RELAY FOR LIFE EVENT PLANNED AT CONCORD UNIVERSITY MARCH 22
ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University’s Relay For Life event will be held in Athens on Friday, March 22. Activities will take place from 7 p.m. to 12 midnight in the Student Center Ballroom.
Relay For Life is a partner of the American Cancer Society. Concord’s event is a fundraiser and a means to advocate for a cancer cure and more birthdays, organizers say.
Cancer survivors and caregivers will be honored during the evening and are invited to participate by contacting Lindsay Scott, an event chairperson, at firstname.lastname@example.org
“If they don’t want to sign up but would still like to be recognized at Relay, they can show up to the event and let us know that they are a caregiver or survivor,” Scott said.
“We will be having a DJ, the dance team will be performing, we will have bingo, food, games, prizes, and a luminaria service to honor the lives of those who have fought cancer,” she said. “We would like everyone to come out to support CU in the fight against cancer.”
Persons with disabilities should contact Nancy Ellison, 1-304-384-6086 or 1-800-344-6679 extension 6086
if special assistance is required for access to an event scheduled by the University on campus.
