ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University Office of Admissions is sponsoring a photo contest open to all Concord students titled “Concord: People, Places and Things.” Students are invited to take pictures of “The Campus Beautiful” for possible use in future promotions for the school.
Students are asked to send photo submissions that represent the positive aspects of life at Concord that fall into one of five categories: clubs and organizations, athletics, residential/social life, events, and “Campus Beautiful.” There will be a winner selected in each category who will win a $50 gift card to the Concord University eFollett Bookstore.
Jacqueline Nottingham, chief enrollment manager officer at Concord, is excited that the students get such a unique opportunity to give their prospective of student life. “Who else better to showcase Concord than the students themselves?” Nottingham noted. “We want the photos in our promotions to be true representations of how beautiful our campus is from the eyes of the ones who are here every day.”
The deadline for submissions is Friday, Nov. 22, 2013. All submissions should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org in JPEG file format. To increase the possibility of the photo submissions being chosen to be used by the University, photos should be taken using the highest resolution available to the photographer.
A photo release form signed by all subjects in the photo must be submitted to the Office of Admissions at the time the photos are submitted. Forms may be requested by emailing email@example.com
Students entering the contest should be aware that by submitting photos they agree that Concord University has the full rights to use all photos submitted and chosen for promotional material at the school’s discretion.
Anyone with questions can send them to Jacqueline Nottingham at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 304-384-6305.
