EDUCATION AUTHOR, ACTIVIST JONATHAN KOZOL

ADDRESSING CONCORD UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY

 

ATHENS, W.Va.  – Jonathan Kozol, education author and activist famous for such books as “Savage Inequalities” and “The Shame of the Nation,” will address the Concord University community in a live presentation via Skype on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016. His lecture on the biggest challenges facing American schools today will be broadcast from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the auditorium of the Fine Arts Center.

Kozol is one of the leading public intellectuals writing about education in the United States. His Concord lecture is sponsored by the University’s departments of Sociology and Social Work and the divisions of Education and Social Science.
