UPDATED: CONCORD UNIVERSITY HAS RECEIVED A BOMB THREAT ON THE ATHENS CAMPUS

UPDATE (03/01/2012 at 5:10PM) - Concord University’s Athens campus remains closed due to a bomb threat. Emergency officials on site have coordinated evacuation and search for possible bombs.

Any exams scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, March 2, 2012 will not be held on that date.

ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University, Athens campus, has received a bomb threat. The campus has been closed and students, faculty and staff are being evacuated. The threat is directed toward classroom space. Concord officials learned of the threat from an anonymous phone call from someone in New York who saw the threat on a website.

Emergency officials are coordinating the evacuation and search for possible bombs.
