SHAKESPEARE IN MUSIC TO BE PRESENTED

BY CONCORD UNIVERSITY CHOIRS

 

ATHENS, W.Va.  – The Concord University choirs will present their fall concert, Shakespeare in Music, Thursday evening, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Alexander Fine Arts Center Main Auditorium. The concert honors the beloved English poet and playwright 400 years after his death.

Concord’s Collegiate Singers will present settings of Shakespeare texts in a variety of styles by composers such as Ralph Vaughan Williams, Matthew Harris, and Thomas Arne.  The Concord University ConChords will also be performing a repertoire of a cappella hits by artists such as The Beatles, Billy Joel, and Pentatonix.
