Summer Hours
There is someone in the office every weekday, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10:00am and 12:00pm. Walk-ins are accepted in the event of emergency or crisis, but it is best to call during these hours to make an appointment. The counselor is normally available for between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
Confidentiality
The entire staff at the Counseling Center values confidentiality. We are all personally, professionally, and legally committed to your right to privacy. Each student staff member is also required to sign a confidentiality contract and will automatically be dismissed for breaking it. We promise that what you discuss with your counselor will remain confidential within the Counseling Center.
Accommodation
Please advise us is you need any accommodation. If you are unable to come to the second floor of the Bonner House, we will make arrangements to meet you in an accessible location. There are no lifts or elevators to the second floor of the Bonner House.
Fees
The counseling services offered here are free to all Concord University students, both part time and full time.
Our Counselors & Staff
Sandra L Grim, MA
Sandra Grim is a Licensed Psychologist with the state of West Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree at Concord and her Master's degree from Radford University. Sandra is a wonderful counselor and she loved being back at Concord.
Carla G. Cole, LPC
Carla Cole is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the state of West Virginia. Carla graduated with a Master's degree in Counseling from Marshall University. As a liaison to Concord, Carla provides rehabilitation counseling services for students as needed.
Staff include six student workers who have signed a confidentiality form and are bound to it.
