Campus Activities

The Concord University Student Activities Committee is a campus organization with the purpose of selecting, promoting, and facilitating a diverse array of campus activities. Our mission is to provide programs that contribute to a well-rounded social, educational, and cultural environment for students.

CU Campus Safety & Wellness Book

Provides information and resources for a broad range of topics including: Alert Systems, General Safety Procedures, Evacuation Procedures for Structural Fires, Active Shooter Situations, Shelter in Place Hazardous Release, Inclement Weather, Online Safety, Social Media Safety, Identity Theft Protection, Active Bystander Intervention, Red Zone, Sexual Assault, Title IX: Things to Know, Definitions to Know, Bullying and Cyberbullying, Depression and Anxiety, Suicide Prevention, Drinking and Substance Abuse, Nutrition, Physical Activity, Sleep, STD Prevention, Contraception, Effective Communication and Conflict Resolution, and Campus and External Support Services.

Safe Zone

Established in 2009, the Concord University Safe Zone program strives to eliminate homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism on campus by creating and encouraging safe and secure spaces for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Questioning (LGBTQ) students, faculty, and staff. This program seeks to identify LGBTQ allies on campus and make it easier for people in need to find them.

Student eNews

Student eNews, a collaborative effort of Concord University administrative offices, keeps you informed about campus happenings, important deadlines, and general student success information. Student eNews is published four times each year, twice each semester.

Includes information about Concord University's services, guidelines, and policies. 

Student Health

Provides information on local health and medical centers, emergency contacts, reproductive health, keeping fit, and the Affordable Care Act.

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association of Concord University seeks to inform, educate, and represent the student body of the University.

Provides information on advising and organization guidelines, student organizations, Student Activities Committee, and the Student Government Association.

Department of Recreational Sports and Wellness

The Department of Recreational Sports and Wellness enhances the quality of life for the university community by educating and encouraging participation in activities that promote healthy lifestyles, social interactions, and leadership skills. The department creates an atmosphere that encourages individuals to develop life-long involvement in recreational activities and is dedicated to meeting the changing needs of a diverse community by offering quality structured and informal recreational opportunities.
