CONCORD’S ALUMNI SPEAKER SERIES ANNOUNCES UPCOMING PRESENTATIONS
ATHENS, W.Va. – The Alumni Speaker Series at Concord University is announcing speakers for April and May.
As part of the series, a new pre-recorded presentation is released the first week of each month on the Concord University YouTube channel and is available to the entire Concord community.
A video presentation featuring Concord alum Richard Cisney talking about his career in television media will premiere on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 12 p.m. CU graduate Emily Duke will be in the spotlight discussing her work in the PR/marketing field in a presentation being released on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 12 p.m.
The Alumni Speaker Series launched in the Fall of 2020 as a means for Concord alumni to share their career experiences and professional know-how with current students and other Concordians.
These presentations cover a variety of topics from careers in law, education and the media, to the value of a liberal arts education and engaging in a virtual environment. Previous presentations are archived on Concord’s YouTube channel.
“We’ve got so many alums out there doing amazing things in a variety of fields and the Alumni Speaker Series is a perfect way to highlight their careers and how Concord prepared them for their journey,” stated Sarah Turner, Director of Alumni & Donor Relations.
“I’m incredibly thankful to the alums who have taken time out of their schedules to share their story and am excited to be able to put these presentations out there for the entire Concord community,” she said.
