Dr. David Campbell
Professor of Health Education
As the chair of the department, Dr. Campbell is here to make sure our students get the most out of their education by fostering growth and a positive learning experience. CU’s Athletic Training Program is the only accredited ATP in the region, and our Physical Education and Health Education teacher programs are both nationally accredited by NCATE.
The Department of Health Science also offers a Masters in Health Promotion, 100% online. Whether your career goals are vocational, occupational, or you are trying to further your studies or expand your degree by adding a minor, Dr. Campbell and the faculty are here to help you meet those goals with success.
Sarah Lively Turner '98
Director of Alumni & Donor Relations
Graduation is not the end of Concord’s commitment to you. Sarah Turner works to keep alumni connected to their alma mater and to be a resource to them long after they leave campus. From emails and social media to our CU After Hours events, Sarah’s goal is to keep as many alums as possible connected to the university. Strong connections like these will make possible future mentoring programs that will connect alums to current students. Sarah, an alum that comes from a family of Concordians, has a strong loyalty to this university, like many of our graduates. Several of our scholarships are made possible through alumni financial support. When you choose Concord University, you become part of a legacy and the Alumni office will make sure you stay connected.
Allen Smith '05

A former Concord University graduate, Allen Smith works to bring new students to CU. Allen spends a lot of time on the road visiting high schools and attending college fairs. When he is on campus, Allen is organizing campus visitations and helping families navigate the enrollment process. From scholarships and financial aid, to finding the right program of study, Allen and all our admission counselors are here for prospective CU students.
“Concord feels like home.”
