“Having a small classroom atmosphere is one of the many perks of learning at Concord; the beautiful scenery I am blessed to see every day makes Concord a perfect learning environment.”
Kasey is a third-generation Mountain Lion and majoring in Biology Pre-Physical Therapy. When she came to Concord, it felt like home. Her foundation for inspiration comes from her supportive family that has always encouraged her to pursue her dreams. Kasey's grandmother fought a battle with cancer for 16 years, and during that time Kasey grew an interest for science and how amazing the human body can be. Her passion began in sophomore year of high school when she was injured playing softball. After intense physical therapy, Kasey returned to the sport that she loved. She then had the aspiration to touch lives and give others the gift of healing. Kasey feels that Concord provides a high quality education with a strong biology program. Once she gets her degree, that will lay the foundation that will allow her to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Kelsey loved that Concord was not only a beautiful campus but that it also had a hometown atmosphere. By choosing Concord University it allowed her to become a third generation Mountain Lion in her family. Her service to others in the community expanded thanks to the opportunities that were offered to her through the Bonner Scholars Program and the Appalachian Leadership and Education Foundation Program. Kelsey graduated without any student debt earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and plans to continue her education by pursuing an MBA. It Starts With You.
“I’m a 3rd generation CU Alum. Concord has and always will be home to me.”

Graduation is not the end of Concord’s commitment to you. Sarah Turner works to keep alumni connected to their alma mater and to be a resource to them long after they leave campus. From emails and social media to our CU After Hours events, Sarah’s goal is to keep as many alums as possible connected to the university. Strong connections like these will make possible future mentoring programs that will connect alums to current students. Sarah, an alum that comes from a family of Concordians, has a strong loyalty to this university, like many of our graduates. Several of our scholarships are made possible through alumni financial support. When you choose Concord University, you become part of a legacy and the Alumni office will make sure you stay connected.
