Moodle to Blackboard Transition

In order to provide a unified face to Concord University’s online learning environment, the operation of the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) will be discontinued after Spring semester 2020.

Course and associated data on the Moodle server will be migrated, with Faculty collaboration, to the University LMS, Blackboard, or an appropriate archive or web location depending on the nature of the data. The migration of courses from Moodle to Blackboard will be coordinated between Rick Browning, Instructional Designer and Director of Distributed Learning, and individual Faculty. Technology Services will reach out to faculty who have course material hosted on Moodle. Courses that faculty choose to have migrated to Blackboard will be converted and restored in Blackboard by Technology Services and made available to the faculty member. Faculty may also request a blank shell if they prefer to start building from scratch.

Rick Browning will be available for course design consultation or for assistance in the actual construction or rearranging of course content in Blackboard. To request assistance please email rbrowning@concord.edu

Training materials will become available in May. This will include beginning to advanced Blackboard concepts. Additional materials will be added to this page as they become available.
