Chiropractic Medicine

Chiropractors treat patients with health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system, which includes nerves, bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. For more information regarding this occupation, visit the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook.

All students declaring a biology major will take the same core and cognate classes. Students also select an emphasis based on their career goals. Each emphasis has specified classes designed to prepare you for your career path as well as directed electives that allow you to choose courses that fit your professional interests. If pursuing a career as a chiropractor, you should choose the Pre-Physician Assistant/Physical Therapy emphasis.
