Wellness Education (PreK through Adult Physical/Health Education)

The Wellness Education (PreK-Adult) prepares competent and dedicated teachers who are able to design, deliver, and assess health and physical education programs that meet the needs of all students in PreK-Adult schools.  Candidates who complete this program will meet the requirements from the West Virginia Department of Education and will be granted a West Virginia teaching license in field.

Where are they now?
Graduates over the past ten years have obtained full time teaching positions in the field of physical and/or health education in the following states: Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.  Nearly 90% of our graduates find a job in field after graduation. 
 
Besides teaching in the public school setting, a handful of our graduates have found employments as NCAA coaches in the sports of Track and Field and Football.
