Karen Vuranch


Biography

Karen Vuranch has been a professional actress, storyteller, writer and historian for 30 years. She has traveled extensively nationally and internationally with her performances. She is most well known for her performance of Coal Camp Memories, a play she researched and wrote about life in the West Virginia coal fields. She taught as and Adjunct for Concord for 20 years and has been full-time, teaching Speech and Theatre for the past three years. However, she also teaches an overload class in Appalachian Studies.
