  • Football Stadium Clean-Up (15 participants)
Let’s get ready to ROAR! Help sweep the bleachers and clean up the CU football stadium to prepare for the first Mountain Lion home game.

  • Paint the Paw Prints (15 participants)
Show your Mountain Lion spirit! Help us repaint the paw prints that lead from the main entrance of campus to the athletic complex.

  • Paint the Town (20 participants)
Let’s paint the town yellow! Help us repaint the curb markings throughout the Town of Athens.

  • Sole Hope (15 participants)
Make it possible for someone to have a pair of shoes!  We’ll be cutting and constructing shoe kits to be donated to the Sole Hope organization. They will then distribute the shoes in Uganda to help the children and adults have healthier feet.

  • Clothing Closet (10 participants)
Help our Mountain Lions look sharp! The CU Clothing Closet will provide students with professional clothing for interviews, internships, field placements and other professional opportunities. We’ll be assembling racks, organizing clothing, and getting the closet ready to go.

Help others with just a few clicks on your phone! Answer the questions correctly in the on-line quizzes and you’ll earn “beans” for charities such as Feeding America and St. Jude Children’s’ Research Hospital.

  • Paracord Bracelets (15 participants) 
Let’s show some gratitude! We’ll be making paracord bracelets to be donated to Operation Gratitude.They will distribute them in care packages to troops and first responders. We will also create notes and cards to be sent with the bracelets.

Rain date for outdoor projects will be Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 8:30-11:30 AM.*  Watch for an email from in case of postponement due to weather with details!

Projects listed in BLUE will require more physical activity.  Students with any limitations should self-identify and choose other service options requiring less physical exertion.
Also, for projects listed in BLUE, students should wear old clothing that is suitable for getting dirty and/or paint splattered.
Each student will be expected to follow campus safety guidelines and practice social distancing during projects whenever possible. Masks, disposable gloves, and hand sanitizer will be available for student use.  Project leaders will have disinfecting wipes for cleaning as needed during each project.

*Exception: Football Stadium Clean-up will likely be an evening project early the following week to have the stadium ready for the first home football game on Thursday, September 10.

Check-In for Student Service Days will be from 8:30-9:00 AM in the gazebo by the valley. Groups will be leaving for their projects promptly at 9:00 AM, so do not be late!!
