MASTER OF ARTS IN TEACHING ADDED TO CONCORD UNIVERSITY DEGREE PROGRAMS
ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University will offer a new Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program beginning January 2012. The Master of Arts in Teaching at Concord University is a 36 hour program that results in initial teaching certification and a master’s degree.
The MAT is designed for candidates who currently hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in specific content areas in grades PreK-Adult, 5-Adult, and 9-Adult, as specified in West Virginia Policy 5100 and are seeking an accelerated and/or alternative means to obtain initial certification at the graduate level.
