PRE-PROFESSIONAL DAY PLANNED AT CONCORD UNIVERSITY NOV. 21
ATHENS, W.Va. ?�� Concord University?��s Division of Science, Mathematics and Health is hosting a Pre-Professional Day on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in University Point located on Concord?��s Athens campus.
Pre-Professional Day is open to anyone interested in exploring professional schools in the health fields.
During the event, institutions from West Virginia and Virginia will be on campus to present information to students from Concord and surrounding schools as well as to the community. Exhibits will be set up by the individual programs and presentations about admissions processes and other information about the programs will be available.
Schools planning to attend the event include: Appalachian College of Pharmacy, Bluefield College Dental School, Concord University Masters in Health Promotion, Marshall Biomedical Graduate Program, Marshall DPT Program, Marshall Medical School, Marshall School of Pharmacy, West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, University of Charleston School of Pharmacy, Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, West Virginia University Biomedical Sciences Graduate School, West Virginia University School of Dentistry, West Virginia University School of Medicine, West Virginia University School of Pharmacy, West Virginia University Division of Occupational Therapy, and West Virginia University Division of Physical Therapy.
Concord science students will also be presenting research that has been conducted during the semester. The fields of ecology, cell and molecular biology, and biochemistry will be represented. Students participating in independent research will also be presenting on a variety of fields including physiology, geology, molecular biology, physics and chemistry.
Concord University has several programs and classes designed for students interested in professional schools such as medical, pharmacy, dental and physical therapy.
