GINGERBREAD HOUSE PARTY – GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT
SUPPORTING CONCORD UNIVERSITY’S SENIOR DINNER
ATHENS, W.Va. – A holiday tradition and a fundraising opportunity combine in Concord University’s first-ever Gingerbread House Party – Girls’ Night Out planned for Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014.
Guests will enjoy decorating their own gingerbread houses while helping support the Senior Dinner at Concord. The festive fun will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the charming setting of Concord’s President’s House in Athens.
Launched several years ago, the Senior Dinner honors soon-to-be graduates of Concord and celebrates their milestone of completing a college degree. This popular event is hosted by the Career/Advancement Services Office and is held each semester on the Thursday evening before finals week.
The Senior Dinner features a special meal for the honorees prepared by Aramark. The evening also includes door prizes and gifts for the seniors. Following the dinner, the seniors will receive their caps and gowns which are being steamed by members of the CU community including alumni volunteers. This semester the dinner will take place on Dec. 4.
Along with supplies for decorating, the Gingerbread House Party evening also includes hors’ devours and an opportunity to put Pinterest ideas to work. Cost to attend is $30 per person. Reservations are required. All proceeds benefit the Senior Dinner at Concord. For additional information or to make a reservation contact Lisa Moore at firstname.lastname@example.org or 304-384-6056.
Persons with disabilities should contact Nancy Ellison, 1-304-384-6086 or 1-800-344-6679 extension 6086
