HEALTH SCIENCES LECTURE SERIES AT CONCORD UNIVERSITY CONTINUES WITH PRESENTATON BY LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
ATHENS, W.Va. – Allison Hall, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, will speak for a health sciences lecture series at Concord University on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Hall is the third presenter for the series that is focusing on COVID-19 Vaccination. Her presentation will be available for viewing at 12:30 p.m. in Room 320 of Marsh Hall on Concord’s Athens campus.

Hall received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Milligan College (2001) and a Master’s in Social Work from West Virginia University (2004). She currently works on the Palliative Care Team at UF Health, a trauma hospital in Jacksonville, FL.
She started her social work career working in the mental health field, but has worked as a hospice or palliative social worker for the last fifteen years. Her position had a unique role in treating individuals with COVID-19 in the past two years.
Concord University received a mini grant from the American College Health Association to conduct the lecture series to promote factual information on COVID-19 Vaccination and to demonstrate examples of careers in health sciences.
The first presentation on March 15 featured Dr. Brad Price. Dr. Price is an Assistant Professor in the Management Information Systems Department at WVU. He is also the Chief Data Scientist for the Governor of West Virginia’s Joint Interagency Task Force on COVID-19.
Dr. John Saindon spoke remotely on March 28 from Tanzania where he is currently on assignment as Team Lead for the Polio Response. Dr. Saindon is a senior emergency public health responder, a medical planner in the United States Army Reserves, and a university dissertation chairperson with nearly 20 years of domestic and international experiences.
