Students at Concord Learn How to Land Jobs
Athens, W.Va. - Tammy Jenkins, with Concord College’s Career Services Department, announces a series of career-enhancement programs that will be offered by her office this semester. "This is a great way for students to start making real-world contacts with organizations that may be potential employers," stated Jenkins. "We promote the events on-campus and try to have a wide variety of organizations represented."

Plans are being finalized to have several former student-athletes share stories of where their life has gone since graduating from Concord.

Teacher Education Recruitment Day?
Approximately 25 school system representatives will be on campus to interview education students graduating in May. Representatives from West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia are expected to attend. Students will be pre-assigned interview times.

Chris Runyan and Jason Lunsford (Concord alumnus) will be on campus to interview for full-time employment opportunities with One Valley Bank for the following positions: staff auditor, information analyst, retail banker, telebanking associate, financial analyst, commercial credit analyst. Students will be required to register in Career Services for an interview time.

Career Services also track graduates. Last year, 79% of the college’s graduates found employment and 16% chose enrollment in graduate or professional schools.
